Same price exchange theory
I recently watched an anime – Full Metal Alchemist. In it, they have a same price exchange theory which says that if you want something, you will have to pay the same price for it.
It began to make me wonder about some things. Does this “theory” apply in life? If the theory is really true, I guess I would have been one of the top scholars by now. Unfortunately, this theory doesn’t really seem to apply in my studies and in order for the theory to become true, I have decided to cut down on my studying time to correspond to my grades. Ha-ha. It depends on how long you want to consider the exchange to be valid. If you believe in rebirths, i.e. past lives, present life and future lives, then this same price exchange theory should be directly applicable. If you look narrowly by the present life, the theory may not apply, seemed unfair actually. But if you can see what happened in the past, you will prob agree with what is happening to you in your present life. And you will be able to anticipate what kind of life you will be getting by the way you are living in this present life.
